Site Manager

Location: King’s Cross, London Start Date: Immediate / ASAP Duration: 12–18 months (with potential extension) Rate: Competitive (CIS or Ltd options available) Project Type: Cut and Carve / Structural Alteration Sector: Commercial About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead day-to-day site operations on a complex cut and carve / structural alteration project in King’s Cross. This is a high-profile refurbishment and redevelopment scheme involving major internal reconfiguration, temporary works, steelwork alterations, and interface coordination with new build elements. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee daily site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality. * Manage subcontractors involved in demolition, temporary works, structural steelwork, and core alterations. * Monitor progress against programme and report to the Project Manager / Contracts Manager. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, method statements, and risk assessments. * Coordinate logistics and access in a live urban environment. * Liaise with engineers, architects, and client-side representatives during site inspections and meetings. Requirements: * Proven experience managing structural refurbishment or cut and carve projects (essential). * Strong knowledge of temporary works, structural alterations, and sequencing challenges. * SMSTS, CSCS (Black or White Card), and First Aid certifications (essential). * Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction programmes. * Excellent communication and leadership skills
