A client of mine, a multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong presence across the UK, is looking to speak with a talented Senior Chartered Building Surveyor, to join their expanding team in London. They pride themselves on their ability to deliver innovative solutions across a broad range of projects, from condition and asset surveys to historic building conservation, fire safety assessments, and project management. The Chartered Building Surveyor's Role The successful Building Surveyor will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of both regional and national projects, working closely with clients across a varied workload. You will undertake technical surveys, prepare specifications and design documentation, and act as contract administrator on a range of projects. Collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders will be key, with a balance between independent responsibility and team support. Key responsibilities include: Delivering condition and measured surveys, building pathology reports, fire risk assessments, access audits, and dilapidations advice Preparing tender documentation, specifications, and AutoCAD drawings Acting as contract administrator for minor works projects Supporting the regional business development plan and contributing to national projects Producing detailed technical reports and maintaining high-quality standards in line with RICS guidance The Successful Chartered Building Surveyor Will Have Qualifications: Degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent) Knowledge and Attributes: Proven experience in building surveying Strong report writing and technical ability IT literate, including AutoCAD A clean driving licence Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Desirable: Security clearance (OS) Track record of improving revenues and financial performance In Return? £80,000 - £85,000 28 days annual leave bank holidays Annual discretionary bonus Private healthcare (including dental and optical) Income protection and death in service cover Cycle-to-work scheme Professional memberships and qualifications fully supported Mentoring scheme and internal L&D programme Employee-owned trust - share options issued to all staff from Graduate to Director If you're a Chartered Building Surveyor, or on the pathway to chartership, and looking to take the next step in your career, please contact Chris van Aurich at Brandon James
