Title: Planning Manager Location: Hammersmith, London (3 days site / 2 days remote) Rate: £(Apply online only) per day An immediate opportunity has arisen for a Planning Manager to join a leading main contractor on a freelance basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to take ownership of planning activities on a landmark scheme and lead a small team of Planners. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Planners, providing guidance, mentoring, and support. Develop, monitor, and oversee the project programme using Primavera P6. Ensure the programme is fully compliant with contractual requirements under the NEC contract. Work closely with project and commercial teams to identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies. Produce clear progress reports, dashboards, and analysis for senior management and the client. Play a key role in driving project delivery, ensuring milestones are achieved and programme integrity is maintained.Candidate Proven experience working as a Planning Manager (or Senior Planner ready to step up) on major civil engineering projects. Strong technical proficiency in Primavera P6. In-depth knowledge and application of NEC contracts. Previous experience overseeing or mentoring junior Planners. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. A proactive approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile project environment.
