2nd Line IT Support

2nd Line IT Support required for a brilliant business based south of Bedford. This is a permanent, hybrid role (days in the office) paying upto £34k base on a 4 days on, 4 days off day shift pattern. We’re seeking a proactive Tier 2 Engineer to join a growing Managed IT team. You’ll provide second line support to customers, ensuring smooth operation of their IT services and infrastructure. This is a hands-on role involving troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining systems, whilst contributing to service improvements and mentoring colleagues. What you’ll do: - Diagnose and resolve 2nd line technical issues across desktops, servers, and end-user devices - Monitor and maintain client IT systems (patching, updates, performance tuning) - Support incident, change, and problem management processes (ITIL-aligned) - Collaborate with Tier 1 & Tier 3 engineers, sharing knowledge and best practice - Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships - Contribute to security, compliance, and service quality improvements What we’re looking for: - 3 years’ IT support experience (MSP environment preferred) - Knowledge of Microsoft 365/Azure, Windows OS, networking, and security - Familiarity with ITIL processes and monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds, NinjaOne) - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills - Relevant certifications (Microsoft 365/Azure, ITIL Foundation) desirable Perks & Benefits: - 23 days’ holiday birthday off (rising with service) - Pension, bonus scheme & death in service cover - Holiday Buy Scheme, colleague discounts & wellbeing support - Cycle to Work, eye tests, enhanced maternity/paternity pay - Learning & development opportunities active social calendar Requirements: - Right to work in the UK - Flexible to work shifts, on-call, evenings/weekends as required - Employment subject to satisfactory vetting and references If you meet the requirements above and are keen to discuss this opportunity further, please apply now to be considered
