Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Health Care Sector Location: Worcester Rate: £25 per hour (PAYE) Employment Type: Temporary/Contract (can be adjusted based on your needs) Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team within the healthcare sector, based at a site in Worcester. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of building services systems with a particular focus on boilers, pressure systems, ventilation, and steam systems. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on healthcare site systems Service and maintain boilers, ventilation systems, and steam plant Identify faults and carry out effective repairs or escalate where required Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations Complete documentation and maintenance records accurately Work independently or as part of a team to ensure minimal disruption to patient care Liaise with contractors and site management when necessary Requirements: NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Services / Pipe Fitting / Plumbing (essential) Experience working with boilers and pressure systems Knowledge of ventilation systems and steam plant Prior experience working within the healthcare or hospital environment is desirable Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Good communication and organisational abilities Reliable and self-motivated What We Offer: £25 per hour (PAYE) Immediate start available Full PPE and tools provided if required Opportunity to work within a professional healthcare environment with long-term prospects for the right candidate
