Sub-Agent – Civils Contractor Location: Ipswich Salary: ￡50,000 to ￡60,000 Package Contract Type: Permanent Start Date: ASAP Are you ready to take your civil engineering career to the next level? We're seeking an experienced Sub-Agent to join our dynamic team at a leading Civils Contractor working on high-profile infrastructure and groundworks projects across the region. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex schemes safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Your Role: As a Sub-Agent, you will support the Site Agent and Project Manager in the day-to-day running of the site. Your role will be pivotal in managing site operations, supervising engineers and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee daily site operations and ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently * Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and plant to meet programme deadlines * Support the preparation and implementation of project documentation (RAMS, ITPs, etc.) * Ensure quality control and conduct site inspections in line with the project requirements * Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and site diaries * Lead and mentor junior staff and engineers on site ✅ About You: * Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline * Proven experience in a Sub-Agent or Senior Engineer role within the civils sector * Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and CDM * Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills * CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid (desirable) What We Offer: * A collaborative and forward-thinking working environment * Opportunities to work on flagship civil engineering projects * Career development and progression within a respected contractor * Competitive salary, vehicle/allowance, and comprehensive benefits package Ready to build something great?
