Robotics Engineer – ABB Specialist | Full-Time | Bedfordshire (Travel across UK) About the Role: We are looking for experienced Robotics Engineer with strong hands-on experience in ABB robotic systems, particularly with IRC5 controllers and RobotStudio, who are eager to contribute to innovative industrial automation projects across the UK. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using ABB robots (primarily IRC5-based systems). • Oversee on-site installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of robotic cells. • Program, simulate, and refine robotic operations using ABB RobotStudio. • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration. • Integrate robots with PLCs, vision systems, sensors, and wider automation equipment. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations at all times. • Produce and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation. • Provide training, technical guidance, and ongoing support to clients and internal stakeholders. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost automation efficiency and manufacturing performance. What We’re Looking For: • Degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field. • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience with ABB robotic systems. • Strong knowledge of IRC5 controller architecture. • Strong proficiency in ABB RAPID programming and RobotStudio offline programming • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
