Senior Internal Auditor

Strathclyde University is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join its in-house Internal Audit team. Reporting to the Head of the Internal Audit Service (IAS), the Senior Auditor will work independently on a varied and challenging portfolio of work, within an experienced and supportive team. Reporting to the University Compliance Officer, the IAS team values professional development and supports innovative ideas and continuous improvement. As well as providing assurance to senior officers and the Audit and Risk Committee in a rapidly evolving Higher Education environment, the team acts in an advisory capacity on working groups and investigations across the University. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Internal Auditor include: · Supporting the IAS team to deliver its audit plan through planning, conducting and reporting on risk-based reviews · Providing advice on risk management, governance and compliance to colleagues · Collaborating with Departments to identify pragmatic solutions to mitigate identified risks · Supporting ad hoc investigations Contributing to the continuous improvement of the team, through commitment to professional development
