Location: Madrid (Work center in Arganda del Rey) ️ Modality: Hybrid (60% on-site) ✈️ Frequent travel: 2–3 short trips per month (1 to 4 days) across European countries Ready to lead the architecture and engineering of cutting-edge Mission Control Centers for next-gen satellite constellations? At Exceltic , we are seeking a highly skilled MCC Senior Engineer with deep expertise in satellite systems, payload management, and mission control infrastructure. You will participate in the design, development, and procurement of Mission Control Centers (MCC) for both governmental and commercial space missions . ️ Main Responsibilities Lead the conceptual design, development, and technical procurement of MCCs, ensuring adaptation for various mission types. Conduct systems engineering for MCCs with a focus on: ▪ Interfaces (technical, data, payload) ▪ Data and control plane flows ▪ Payload integration and management Define and follow-up on requirements for MCC hardware and software , including interfaces with gateways, satellite control centers, networks, IT infrastructure, and data centers. Perform system-level trade-offs and contribute to overall architecture definition. Manage requirements engineering using tools like DOORS or JAMA . Participate in RFP processes and follow-up on procurement , development, integration, verification, and acceptance phases. Support definition of operational procedures , and interface with both internal teams and subcontractors. Requirements 5 years of relevant experience in MCC systems engineering , ideally in large satellite constellation programs. Deep understanding of mission control systems : data flow, control plane, payload interfaces. Strong background in software-based systems , networks , and IT infrastructure . Proven experience in design, development, integration, verification , and operations of MCCs. Experience with traffic routing algorithms and Intersatellite Links (ISLs) . Good grasp of communication engineering , including RF link budgets and antenna design . Background in technical project management . EU nationality and willingness to undergo EU Secret Clearance . Fluent in English (written and spoken); other European languages are a plus.
