Technical Lead

Position: Technical Lead Hybrid – Oviedo, Spain (2–3 days on-site/week) | Full-time wBrain is looking for a highly experienced Technical Lead to join a long-term strategic project for a major international client in the Energy & Utilities sector . The role combines technical leadership , hands-on delivery and coordination with global teams in a regulated, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to the client’s Application Maintenance Directorate in the area of infrastructure and networks; Lead technical activities related to access management , cloud operations , and integration oversight ; Coordinate initiatives and oversee project and financial tracking , as well as the rollout of new procedures; Manage deliverables such as technical documentation , infrastructure change requests , and technical debt backlogs ; Collaborate with cross-functional international teams and contribute to process and technical evolution. ✅ Requirements: Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent; Up to 15 years of experience in relevant technologies/frameworks (to be defined per project scope); Solid experience in strategic, cross-border projects , preferably in regulated sectors such as Energy & Utilities; Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence ; Fluent in English (mandatory) ; Portuguese (valued) ; Spanish (preferred) ; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills and results orientation; Proven hands-on experience and confidence in designing complex, integrated solutions . Nice to Have: Experience in application/infrastructure governance in large-scale environments; Knowledge of GDPR and compliance-driven contexts; Willingness to work in a hybrid model based in Oviedo, Spain (2–3 days on-site/week) .
