Job Title: Capability Procurement Lead - Direct & Indirect Categories Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid Working Available) Department: Procurement Reports To: Head of Direct Category Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a strategic and experienced Capability Procurement Lead to oversee procurement excellence across all direct and indirect categories in the UK. This role is pivotal in shaping procurement capabilities, driving best practices, and enabling category teams to deliver value across the business. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement capability frameworks across direct and indirect categories. Lead initiatives to improve sourcing processes, supplier performance, and contract management. Partner with category leads to embed strategic procurement methodologies and tools. Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and digital transformation in procurement practices. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance, and risk management. Support talent development and training across the procurement function. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain. Candidate Profile Proven experience in procurement leadership across both direct and indirect categories. Strong understanding of procurement capability building, process design, and change management. Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and hands-on execution ability. Experience in FMCG or similarly complex, fast-paced industries is highly desirable.
