Operations Director - Consumer Products

Our client is a specialist division of a UK consumer products manufacturer with its main UK factory in Birmingham, West Midlands. This market leading manufacturer has won some significant new contracts that will lead to further growth in revenue and profitability. As the business looks to enhance its operating efficiencies, supporting strong customer demand, they have a need for an experienced Site Operations Director. Reporting to the Divisional Managing Director, the Operations Director will shape the manufacturing and supply chain systems and processes to ensure the site can meet further growth in demand. Responsibilities include: The effective management, control and optimisation of site functions encompassing production, engineering, CI, packaging/ logistics and supply chain Strategic development and the implementation of operational plans to meet the company’s strategic goals Leadership and development of the site management team ensuring accountability and delivery of KPI’s and objectives Ensure CAPEX projects are delivered on time to allow production volume growth and efficiency Further develop and enhance robust KPI’s, ensuring better visibility, accountability and performance Development of existing and future leadership potential driving a culture of continuous learning What they are looking for: Extensive experience leading and managing high volume, automated, fast paced FMCG manufacturing operations encompassing production, engineering, CI, packaging/logistics and supply chain.
