We’re Hiring: Principal Mechanical Engineer (North East UK – Newcastle Preferred) A growing, independent MEP consultancy with a strong international presence is looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their UK team — ideally based in the North East near Newcastle. This is a senior technical leadership role focused on delivering high-quality mechanical design across major projects, with a strong emphasis on data centers and mission critical facilities . What You’ll Do Lead mechanical design across high-spec, performance-driven projects Guide and mentor engineers while fostering a collaborative, delivery-focused culture Work closely with clients to ensure solutions meet the highest technical and operational standards Drive best practice in energy efficiency, HVAC systems, and resilient infrastructure design Contribute to business development, proposals, and long-term client partnerships What You Bring CEng (or working toward) with a Mechanical bias Experience delivering complex mechanical systems for data centers or mission critical sectors Technical leadership, project coordination, and team development skills Strong understanding of UK regulations, sustainability standards, and performance design A collaborative mindset and the drive to deliver quality, every time Why Join?
