Technical Project Manager – Networks Location: Stevenage or Newport (Onsite at Client Site) Clearance: Active Security Clearance Required Contract: Outside IR35, up to £550 per day About the Opportunity At Tektora, we specialise in connecting technical excellence with mission-critical projects. We are seeking a Technical Project Manager – Networks to take ownership of a high-profile infrastructure programme, shaping the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performance networks. This is a client-facing role at the heart of a secure environment, ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys technical complexity, and has the confidence to lead projects from vision to execution. What You Will Be Doing * Leading the end-to-end delivery of a major network infrastructure project including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement * Working alongside architects, engineers, and client teams to translate requirements into clear and actionable plans. * Overseeing implementation of key technologies, including: * LAN/WAN architecture * Firewall, VPN and secure remote access * Network segmentation and zoning * Deployment of routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers * Network monitoring, optimisation and performance tuning * Ensuring all solutions meet compliance and security standards (GDPR, ISO27001) * Running technical workshops, managing documentation, and ensuring smooth operational handovers What We Are Looking For * Proven background delivering complex technical projects, ideally network-related. * Strong understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, and firewall technologies * Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade kit (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet) * Confident stakeholder communicator, able to bridge technical and non-technical discussions * Skilled in Agile and/or ITIL delivery environments * Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple workstreams Desirable * Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or similar * Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or CCNP * Familiarity with tools like Terraform, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Ansible * Awareness of Zero Trust and cloud networking best practice Why Join via Tektora At Tektora, we focus on precision hiring, matching top professionals with projects where they can make a real impact.
