Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary: As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and services. You will work closely with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient infrastructure. Your role will involve automating processes, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime and improve user experience. Qualifications and Skills Required: Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar role. Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS). Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash). Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities: 1. System Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor system performance and availability using various tools and dashboards. Respond to incidents and outages, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Develop and maintain incident response playbooks in ANSIBLE automation platform. 2. Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies to enhance system efficiency. 3. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development teams to ensure that new features are designed with reliability in mind. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system architecture and design. 4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures. Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and reliability metrics. 5. Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-mortem reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in site reliability engineering.
