Job Description
Full responsibility in establishing and maintaining procedures for ensuring that all production lines receive the necessary materials, components, and supplies to operate efficiently and without interruption. The role involves overseeing material handling teams, coordinating logistics, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and timely picking and release of supplies to the manufacturing areas. The responsibilities also include, process control, process improvement, labor management as integrative collaboration whiting the Planning, procurement, and production areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The line stocking engineer (also known as line supply engineer or line supply engineer) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the supply of materials to production lines, ensuring that components are available at the right time and place to avoid stoppages or bottlenecks. Supply planning to the line Define what materials need to be available at each workstation. Calculate the necessary quantities per shift or per production order. Coordinate replenishment frequencies (just-in-time, kanban, milk-run, etc.). Coordination with internal logistics Design and maintain supply routes within the plant. Coordinate with forklifts, logistic trains, or AGVs for the efficient transportation of materials. Establish delivery points (line side locations) and delivery methods (racks, carts, kits). Documentation and Standardization Create and maintain supply line guidelines. Standardize supply processes using Lean methodologies. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Knowledge of internal logistics and production. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts (JIT, Kanban, Heijunka). Ability to analyze data, design routes, and layouts. Supervisory Responsibilities Manage hourly workforce comprised of receiving clerks, material handlers. Communicate effectively with teams and within management structure to facilitate effective resolution of barriers and problems. Excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills; self-starter with strong problem solving and data analysis skills. Drive a culture of safety within the warehouse; oversee the team's execution of initiatives and projects supporting the business’ safety goals and objectives. Provide technical knowledge and leadership to material handlers. Requirements Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree is a plus. 5 or more years related experience. CPIM certification is a plus. Be organized, self-motivated, and have the ability to plan and prioritize. Be thorough and detail oriented. Be objective, open minded, and seek continuous improvement. Have good inter-personal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Comfortable working in both a factory and office environment. Understand the value and importance of teamwork.
