Purchasing Assistant

Position: Purchasing AssistantLocation: LaSalleSalary: Up to $60K (based on experience) benefitsSchedule: On-site, Monday to FridayAbout the Role:Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with early-career experience in purchasing or supply chain who is looking to grow in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and process purchase orders in alignment with company needs.- Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.- Track orders and update the ERP system to ensure accuracy.- Assist with inventory monitoring to support warehouse and production requirements.- Maintain accurate records of costs, supplier agreements, and purchase history.- Support supplier evaluation and help gather competitive quotes.- Collaborate with finance to resolve invoice discrepancies and support payment processing.- Generate purchasing activity reports as needed.Qualifications:- Min 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination.- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).- Strong Excel skills (formulas, tables, lookups).- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or retail (asset).- Exposure to sourcing, vendor evaluation, or quality documentation.- Basic understanding of financial principles related to purchasing and cost analysis.How to Apply:Interested candidates can send their resume directly to Julie Maltby at jmaltby@quantum.ca.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
