Job Title: Thermal Simulation & Calculation Engineer Location: Guadalajara, MX Duration: Full-Time Job Description: Openings for passionate and experienced calculation engine developers to serve as vital members of the MASC (Modeling, Analysis, Simulation, and Computation) team based in Shanghai, China. The MASC team is responsible for developing and deploying a best-in-class calculation platform to promote Carrier sales volume. Key Responsibilities: As a (specify role), you’ll be responsible for: Develop a state-of-the-art calculation engine to promote Carrier sales volume. Communicate with marketing, product engineering, and global teams in understanding customer needs from different perspectives. Provide heat transfer and thermodynamics expertise and work with the optimization engineer to develop advanced algorithms to assist the Carrier salesperson to provide the best solutions to our customers. Requirements We are looking for people who have an MS degree or a PhD. If this is you, get in touch. As a minimum, you must have: MS or PhD degree in thermal, refrigeration, and air-conditioning or fluid machinery with 2 years of experience with a master’s degree. Strong background in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and numerical analysis; understands the mechanism of the numerical computation method for non-linear equation groups. Programming experience in Python, Modelica, C++, Fortran, or related languages. Engineering experience in the design or application of HVAC/R or power plant equipment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate across functions. Ability to think independently while working effectively in a collaborative team environment. Experience of developing/implementing algorithms in solving large nonlinear algebraic equation systems or differential equation systems
