In this role, you will work among engineering teams to develop cutting-edge software solutions. We are seeking a Senior CDN Engineer Engineer to work with various clients at our delivery center in Mexico. Our mission at Apex Systems is providing Insights that Inspire. In this role you will help achieve that mission by giving our clients consultative guidance and technical expertise. RESPONSIBLITIES: Troubleshooting complex Akamai configurations (especially WAF and delivery stack). Managing and improving current Akamai environment that is convoluted and requires cleanup. Customer communication to understand blockers and coordinate problem solving. Cloud Monitor transitioning to Data Streams Explore and integrate AWS networking components (ALB, ELB, NLB, security groups, CloudFront). Build automation around Akamai and AWS infrastructure. Prepare for a multi-CDN (Content Delivery Network) environment incorporating AWS and Akamai. Close collaboration with customers and internal teams for troubleshooting and problem-solving. QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years working as Infrastructure/Network Engineer WAF configurations and troubleshooting experience. Delivery network knowledge (how requests traverse network, DNS, TCP layers). Understanding Akamai-specific services listed above (EdgeWorkers, NetStorage, Bot Manager, AMDI, Cloud Monitor/Data Streams). Strong networking fundamentals: DNS, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP. Familiarity with modern CDN concepts and architecture. Solid JavaScript skills for Edge Workers troubleshooting and customization. Basic knowledge or willingness to learn AWS networking components (ALB, ELB, NLB, security groups, CloudFront). Experience or interest in automation and infrastructure-as-code concepts. Ability to work in a multi-CDN environment and understand interoperability challenges. Able to work well within a distributed team model (local and offshore).
