Tank Designer/Tester

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Hybrid Fuel Tank Designer/Tester to join our engineering team in Puebla. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, validation, and testing of hybrid fuel tanks in alignment with VW standards and project requirements. This is a hands-on role working closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with design, performance, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and control design and testing activities according to PEP (Strak, prototype, tooling, and release in pre-series, series, and SOP). Manage design and test releases through VW’s processes and standards. Conduct validation activities including German VW standards (DIN, EPs – function and duration). Support development and validation of hybrid fuel tanks, fuel pumps, pressure sensors, quick connectors, and engine tubing. Oversee design documentation, project administration, and reporting in compliance with PEP and AVON processes. Collaborate with international teams and suppliers to ensure on-time, quality deliverables. Required Skills & Knowledge Proficiency in Catia (2D & 3D). Knowledge of KVS, project administration, PEP, and AVON methodologies. Familiarity with hybrid fuel tank systems and gasoline pump technology. Strong understanding of pressure sensors, quick connectors, and tubing integration. Experience with VW test standards and catalogues for design validation. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. Languages: English B2 (mandatory), German B1 (mandatory). Certification: Valid certificate in handling and working with hybrid/electric vehicles (High Voltage systems).
