Job Description

We are seeking a leader to head the financial direction of the company in Mexico. This role involves defining and implementing the financial strategy, financial planning and analysis with strong business acumen, risk management, oversight of accounting operations, and compliance with tax and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Leadership: Define and implement the company’s financial strategy in alignment with corporate goals and policies. Revenue and Profitability Management: Analyze and optimize key business KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve margins and cost efficiency in close collaboration with business units. Financial Planning and Reporting: Lead the financial planning process (budgets, forecasts, long-range plans) and ensure accurate and timely reporting to local and corporate stakeholders. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax and financial regulations while adhering to corporate standards and audit requirements. Internal Controls and Risk Management: Implement robust financial controls, manage risks (credit, operational, foreign exchange), and ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards. Operational Area Management: Oversee administration, billing, corporate resources, real estate, procurement, and logistics functions. Financial Transformation: Drive process automation and the use of digital and analytical tools within the finance function. Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present high-level financial reports to internal and external stakeholders, including corporate leadership, board of directors, auditors, and regulators. Academic Requirements and Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Engineering. Postgraduate studies (MBA) and professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CFA) are valued. Professional Experience: 8–10 years of experience in financial roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position. Prior experience in multinational companies. Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written). Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of local accounting standards and IFRS. Strong command of financial modeling and analysis. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and BI tools. Key Competencies: Critical and analytical thinking. Results-oriented and able to work under pressure. Leadership and decision-making influence. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, at executive level. Teamwork. Intellectual curiosity. Hands-on, committed operational profile.
