THE ROLE Job Title: GL Analyst Key Responsibilities Overview: Performs General Accounting daily operational activities based on the Services Level Agreement signed with Coface North America region including: Reserves (Update work papers for reserves, analyze and determine monthly Journal Entries) Bank reconciliations (Prepare JE Cash Report, transfers and adjustment JE. Prepare monthly bank recs, Participate in meetings for follow up for rec items in operating bank recs, Provide follow up by GL with AP/NAR) Revision Premium Bank Rec (Review monthly variances for Premium accounts and provide follow up to reduce rec items) Update work papers for metrics purpose. Participate on system updates and in any improvement project. Participate in the creation / update of Accounting Standard Operating Procedures used by the SSC operational teams. Performs General Accounting Month-end and Quarter-end closing activities Ensures that all activities performed at any time by himself/herself or her/his colleagues under his/her watch respect Coface integrity, security and reputation, by following all internal rules and controls in his/her scope of activity as well as at entity level. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Professional Experience: Minimum 2-3 years experience in a General Accounting department. Experience in Share Services and in a multicultural environment desirable. Experience in trade credit insurance industry preferred. Other Key Skill Functions: Fluent in English Professional level in Spanish Good knowledge of General Accounting processes, reserves desirable. Excellent communication skills Good organizational skills Independent worker and team player Ability to deal with numerous deadlines simultaneously / Multi-tasking Ability to work on IT systems Knowledge of the serviced country’s local GAAP and IFRS standards is a plus Familiarity and ease with varying IT and online software and applications from Oracle.
