Assistant Director Of Finance - The St. Regis Venice The Assistant Controller manages the day-to-day operation of the Accounting Office. Primary responsibilities include financial analysis and reporting, budgeting / forecasting, audits, asset and liability reconciliation, and cash control. Candidate Profile 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related field; no work experience required. Core Work Activities Managing the Accounting Team : Lead, influence, and encourage team members; oversee audits; communicate business objectives; recognize performance; foster collaboration; participate in performance appraisals; ensure policies are administered fairly. Managing Projects and Policies : Generate timely reports; analyze data; ensure accurate P&L statements; reconcile balance sheets; ensure compliance with SOPs and LSOPs; verify documentation; maintain permits and contracts; leverage centralized processes. Applying Accounting Knowledge : Stay updated on relevant issues; utilize technology for reporting; ensure legal and regulatory compliance. Providing Financial Guidance : Communicate financial information to management; advise on financial issues; support organizational units with policies and resources. Maintaining Financial Goals : Submit reports timely; document profits and losses; meet performance and budget goals; monitor taxes; support control environment.
