DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE To support the line manager in ensuring the implementation and monitoring of the Health & Safety Management System across all group sites, guaranteeing legal compliance, safe use of chemical substances, and the technical safety of machines and production equipment, in accordance with current regulations and the Group’s values. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Support the Line Manager in ensuring health and safety compliance, respecting laws and regulations protecting employees’ health and safety. Promote a safety-oriented corporate culture through employee awareness and training. Monitor compliance with national and international health & safety regulations and adapt to legal updates. Conduct audits and inspections; track performance indicators related to injuries and near-misses; coordinate corrective actions. Monitor fire prevention and protection measures; support improvements and updates. Implement, maintain, and improve the Health & Safety Management System across all facilities. Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures. Coordinate incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Develop and deliver health & safety training and awareness programs. Coordinate health and safety training activities in Italian and international plants, suggesting improvements. Oversee the technical safety of machines and equipment, ensuring compliance with directives and standards. Monitor technical and technological safety levels across plants. Coordinate chemical approval processes, ensuring compliance with REACH and related regulations. Develop communication processes to highlight chemical H&S priorities and performance. Support management in safety improvements and measures across plants. Collaborate with the Group H&S Manager and relevant departments on health and safety regulations and practices. Provide regular reports on health & safety performance and initiatives to management. Assist in managing RSPP activities and coordinating H&S managers' activities. Promote best practices in health and safety across sites, encouraging problem-solving, innovation, and synergy. Ensure the proper implementation of health and safety guidelines and promote a safety culture. Apply corporate principles and values. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPLICATION PhD in chemistry. At least 2 years of experience in health & safety at large facilities (>200 employees), including product safety and regulatory affairs. More experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of global registration requirements such as REACH, K-REACH, TSCA, and Order No. 12 is advantageous. Experience in preparing and submitting REACH registration dossiers is advantageous. Good judgment and ability to manage issues and escalate as needed. Effective communication and collaboration skills within teams and across functions and borders.
