Freelance Opportunity: Project Manager – Food Industry (Process Background Preferred) Location: Perugia, Italy Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension) Start Date: August – September 2025 Engagement Type: Freelance / Contract-based About The Role We are seeking a freelance Process Project Manager with a strong background in process engineering to lead a key equipment installation project in the food industry . This is a hands-on role ideal for a mid to senior-level professional who thrives in dynamic industrial environments and is fluent in both Italian and English . Key Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of equipment installation and commissioning activities on-site. Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on technical and operational requirements. Support process design reviews, layout optimization, and process integration. Monitor project milestones, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular project updates and documentation to stakeholders. What We're Looking For Proven experience managing industrial equipment installation projects, ideally in the food or beverage sector. Solid understanding of process engineering, utilities, and factory operations. Familiarity with GMP and food safety standards is a strong advantage. Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project) and MS Office. Strong communication and coordination skills. Degree in Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field). PMP or equivalent certification is a plus. Fluency in Italian and English. Availability to work on-site in Perugia for the project duration. Why Join Us?
