We are currently seeking a Weight Control Engineer, reporting directly to the Modular Design Section Head, to join our Engineering Department team based in Rome, Italy. About the opportunity: You will work within the Modular Design Section, managing proposals, basic engineering, and detailed engineering of modularized onshore projects. The key interactions for the Weight Control Engineer include internal collaboration with project teams, procurement, construction, and other engineering disciplines, as well as external engagement with clients, yard fabricators, and transport contractors. The role involves ensuring that module weight management and philosophy meet project and client requirements, as well as international codes, company specifications, and industry standards. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Predicting module weights and center of gravity (CoG) during preliminary design. Preparing weight control procedures. Generating regular weight control reports. Interfacing with project management and discipline leaders to gather weight data. Reviewing engineering data for consistency with plant layout. Evaluating weight deviations and their impact, implementing corrective actions when necessary. Monitoring weight implications due to design changes. Starting date: as soon as possible.
