Senior Project Drafter

Metromont Corporation, a leader in the precast concrete construction sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Drafter to join our dedicated Engineering & Design team. In this role, you will be integral to the planning and implementation of complex construction projects, utilizing your expertise in drafting to ensure precision and compliance with all specifications and standards. Your work will directly contribute to the development of durable and innovative concrete structures that enhance infrastructure and community. Prepare detailed drawings and schematics for precast concrete structures using AutoCAD and other drafting software. Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to translate engineering designs into technical plans. Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed. Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems. Coordinate with the manufacturing department to ensure accurate execution of designs and adherence to safety standards. Lead and mentor junior drafters, promoting best practices in drafting techniques and maintaining project documentation. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and industry standards. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant drafting software. Strong understanding of construction processes, especially in precast concrete. Excellent technical drawing and visualization skills. Ability to understand and interpret engineering documents and specifications. Strong attention to detail and precision.
