Job Description
EPPA seeks a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional medical care at our urgent care centers. As a key member of our healthcare team, the CMA will play a crucial role in enhancing patient experiences by offering clinical and administrative support across a variety of tasks while maintaining high standards of care. Perform clinical duties including taking medical histories, recording vital signs, administering injections, and assisting with minor procedures under the supervision of a physician or nurse. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring clean, sterile conditions, and restocking medical supplies as needed. Facilitate efficient patient flow by managing scheduling and patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Educate and guide patients by providing information on treatment procedures, medication routines, and healthcare maintenance. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide seamless and coordinated care to patients. Process lab specimens, perform basic laboratory tests on the premises, and dispose of contaminated supplies. Proficient in clinical practices, aseptic technique, and infection control. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to provide compassionate patient interaction. Basic understanding of health care facility administrative duties and patient-centric services. Capable of using medical software for record keeping and scheduling.
