Estimator - Industrial

New River Electrical Corporation, a leader in electrical contracting for utility and industrial markets, seeks an experienced Estimator - Industrial to join our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management department. This role is critical in analyzing project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for projects and services. The successful candidate will be vital in helping us continue to deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective electrical solutions to our growing list of clients. Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate. Prepare detailed estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information through collaboration with the project team and sub-contractors. Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed. Proficiency in estimation software such as Bluebeam or AutoCAD. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Detailed knowledge of industry processes, materials, and costs. Ability to read and understand construction documents. Experience with data analysis and financial forecasting.
