Job Description
The Special Events Development Coordinator at the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center (SJJCC) is a dynamic role designed to bolster community engagement and raise funds through meticulously planned special events. The ideal candidate will manage and enhance all aspects of event planning, execution, and post-event activities, ensuring alignment with the SJJCC's mission to promote wellness, culture, and connection within the Long Island community. Plan, coordinate, and execute all phases of event production from conception to completion, including both virtual and in-person formats. Collaborate with the marketing team to effectively promote events and maximize attendance. Secure sponsorships and manage relationships with donors and stakeholders. Develop and control event budgets to ensure financial efficiency. Coordinate with vendors and service providers, ensuring high standards of quality and service. Evaluate event success and provide detailed reports on outcomes and recommendations for future events. Ensure all events comply with legal, health, and safety obligations. Strong organizational and logistical planning skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management software Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events
