Payroll & Benefits Manager

EzBel Construction is seeking a skilled Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee and manage our payroll and benefits systems, ensuring efficient processes and accuracy in compensation for all our employees. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration of employee compensation, providing a link between our financial management and employee satisfaction. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, profound knowledge in payroll systems, and a passion for cultivating an equitable workplace. Manage and process payroll operations for all employees, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Maintain and update payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data. Coordinate and oversee employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits. Resolve payroll discrepancies by analyzing information and initiating appropriate correction procedures. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to align payroll and benefits with company policies and budgets. Administer benefits enrollments and changes, perform regular benefits audits, and handle benefits inquiries. Strong knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP or QuickBooks. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills. Knowledge of applicable laws and payroll tax regulations. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
