Drafting Coordinator

Metromont Corporation, a leader in precast concrete construction, seeks an experienced Drafting Coordinator to join our Engineering & Design team. This position is instrumental in facilitating the transition of construction concepts into actionable, detailed design plans used for production and installation. The ideal candidate will showcase precision and innovation, aligning with our commitment to delivering durable and high-quality structures across various projects. Coordinate and oversee the drafting team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of technical drawings and plans. Translate architectural designs into detailed precast concrete drawings and schematics for manufacturing and construction purposes. Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and production teams to clarify design details and resolve any possible technical issues. Maintain and update project documentation, ensuring adherence to company standards as well as legal and project requirements. Implement drafting and design improvements based on feedback from construction teams and post-project reviews. Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising the integrity or accuracy of design work. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software such as Revit or BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools. Strong understanding of construction techniques, specifically precast concrete methods. Attention to detail and a strong sense of geometry and visual accuracy. Ability to interpret and make decisions based on architectural and structural blueprints.
