Job Description

Metromont Corporation, a leader in precast concrete construction, is seeking a skilled Drafting Coordinator to join our Engineering & Design team. This role involves coordinating and overseeing the drafting team to ensure accurate and timely production of engineering drawings, critical to the successful fabrication and installation of concrete structures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in drafting and design principles, particularly within the construction industry, and demonstrate the ability to effectively manage projects and communicate with various teams. Coordinate and oversee the drafting team to ensure timely completion and accuracy of all drawings. Liaise between engineering, production and installation teams to ensure specifications and quality standards are met. Review and approve drawings and specifications submitted by drafting technicians. Manage the distribution of drawings and related documents throughout the project lifecycle. Implement and maintain drafting standards and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of outputs. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to drafting staff. Monitor and report on the status of projects to senior management. Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar. Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles. Excellent project management skills. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
