Environmental Manager

Environmental Manager – Major Infrastructure Project (UK) The Company Linum Consult’s client is a leading international main contractor with extensive experience delivering large-scale EPC and infrastructure projects worldwide . They are currently engaged on one of the UK’s most significant power projects , contributing to the country’s clean energy future. They are seeking an Environmental Manager to join the ground engineering team and oversee the management of environmental risks and compliance across this landmark project. The Role Working closely with project and site teams, you will be responsible for ensuring environmental standards are maintained and that the project complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include: Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and project-specific requirements Preparing and implementing Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) and supporting documents for water, nuisance, and pollution control Applying for permits and liaising with regulatory bodies Monitoring on-site environmental performance and identifying improvement measures Supporting site teams on control measures for air, noise, water, waste, and ecology Conducting site audits, inspections, and environmental risk assessments Leading or supporting investigations into environmental incidents and ensuring lessons learned are shared Delivering environmental awareness training sessions Tracking and analysing new environmental regulations and advising project teams Reporting environmental performance data in line with client requirements The Candidate Experience as an Environmental Advisor or Manager , ideally in the construction or infrastructure sector Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or related discipline (preferred) Membership of IEMA (Associate or above) highly desirable Strong IT and data analysis skills Good project management, communication, and teamwork abilities Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently when required Full UK driving licence Right to work in the UK What This Opportunity Offers Work on one of the UK’s most high-profile, technically complex infrastructure projects Join a global contractor with excellent long-term career opportunities Lead environmental strategy and compliance in a role with genuine impact on sustainability Applications If you fulfil the minimum requirements and are interested in applying confidentially, please send your CV and contact details to: europe@linumconsult.com – FAO Neill Donald
