Senior Data Integration Engineer

About the Team/Role Work as part of a team dedicated to delivering customizable reporting and processing solutions for external stakeholders. This role involves maintaining and supporting legacy code while contributing to data platform modernization initiatives. How you’ll make an impact Team Collaboration Support applications during and outside business hours. Resolve issues and Service Requests promptly. Support production deployments, including evenings and weekends. Contribute to post-deployment validation and troubleshoot issues. Participate in and lead team discussions and feature planning. Software Design and Architecture Design application architecture for performance, scalability, and maintainability. Develop solutions within scope, time, and budget constraints. Conduct design and code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards. Deliver software that meets requirements and is testable at all levels. Increase unit test coverage and review requirements for feasibility and efficiency. Estimate and prioritize project requests. Collaborate with architects, engineers, QA, and business analysts. Project Implementation Identify performance improvements and technical debt. Work with security teams to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities. Implement solutions effectively across environments. Product Proficiency Demonstrate expertise in your product domain and understand related domains. Act as a subject matter expert on WEX systems. Communicate application behavior and technology to technical and business audiences. Leadership Assist team members in completing tasks. Take on roles to meet project deadlines. Mentor and onboard new engineers. Participate in hiring and provide technical guidance. Lead features through deployment and support phases. Optimize work distribution and coordinate priorities across teams. Facilitate team meetings and scrum ceremonies. Experience You’ll Bring Design and implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines (batch and streaming). Maintain data flows across Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and analytics platforms. Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and stakeholders. Handle structured and semi-structured data, ensuring quality and reliability. Modernize legacy data processes and contribute to migration initiatives. Experience with cloud and big data ecosystems: Azure, AWS, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, ThoughtSpot, DEHUB. Proficiency in ETL/ELT, SQL Server, and data modeling. Skills in Python, PySpark, CI/CD, version control, and data governance tools.
