Job Description

Join to apply for the Operations Specialist role at JAS Worldwide JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage, and other supply chain management services, including consulting, purchase order coordination, and customized management services. The purpose of this position is to improve operational accuracy through daily reporting, goal analysis, and reconciliation of documents, as well as resolving discrepancies between customers and the company system, thereby enhancing operational efficiency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Consolidate operation and transportation documents (booking, BL, pre-advices, loading confirmation) Manage import and export bookings according to the booking log sheet, coordinate with Customer Service and JAS origin stations, and maintain routing guides Enforce co-loader policies within group policy, review, and evaluate co-loader performance Ensure accurate hub billing and job costing Monitor cost leadership for cost of sales Conduct rate analysis Monitor and secure allocations and operational efficiency Update supervisors on transportation issues for resolution at origin offices or customer concerns related to capacity planning Create operational reports QUALIFICATIONS: Strong communication skills Ability to influence and persuade others effectively Focus on clear and focused conversations Informed judgment and practical problem-solving skills Decision-making capabilities using pragmatic solutions Stakeholder involvement in decision processes for buy-in and implementation EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel Familiarity with standard runner practices Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment. Travel up to a specified percentage may be required. Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, and handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds, in a fast-paced environment.
