Engineering Lead

Muxon is recruiting on behalf of a US fast-growing IoT orchestration platform company that empowers businesses to manage connected devices and automate workflows at scale. The company has been active for over 10 years, is venture-backed, and is establishing a product development center of excellence in Buenos Aires to support its globally distributed team. We're looking for an experienced Lead to guide their core development team. Requirements: Experience leading software engineering teams. Some previous experience working on an IoT-related project, or experience with MQTT or other similar protocols. Advanced-level Golang proficiency; experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka. Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Proficient with Datadog. Basic working knowledge of and TypeScript for occasional small frontend tasks. Professional Fluent English. Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Mentoring: Lead and grow a small high-performing engineering team, manage daily operations, and drive technical excellence. Architecture & Development: Own and evolve the backend architecture using Golang, ensuring code quality, scalability, and reliability Infrastructure Management: Manage key aspects of cloud infrastructure. Planning & Execution: Drive sprint planning, backlog management, and feature decomposition. System Reliability: Champion best practices in monitoring, incident response, and performance tuning with SRE principles. Production Support: Lead investigations into critical issues, working closely with support and QA teams to ensure fast resolution. Full-Stack Oversight: Contribute occasionally to frontend and on-device clients through code reviews and bug fixes when needed. Benefits: Mostly remote, with the possibility of occasional meetings or gatherings in Buenos Aires (approximately once every two weeks, depending on the team's availability).
