Demand Planner

Ansaldo Energia, based in Genoa, Italy, is seeking a Supply Chain professional to develop sophisticated forecasting models, drive service and operation processes, and deliver actionable supply chain analytics. Key Responsibilities: Demand Planning & Forecasting: Analyze and refine demand forecasts, ensure synchronization with sales projections and production capacity, convert forecasts into material requirements, develop and monitor KPIs, and support automation initiatives. Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to align forecasts with business priorities. Support evaluation of commercial opportunities and assess supply chain risks, bottlenecks, and inventory levels. Define and maintain safety stock strategies considering demand fluctuations and critical part availability. Requirements: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Management Engineering), Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Information Science/Computer Science/Data Science. 2-3 years of experience in forecasting or supply chain analytics. Proficient in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros) and ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA). Experience in consulting or structured industrial environments is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate data-driven insights effectively. Fluent in English and Italian.
