Pay Information $1,766 per week About The Position Job Title: RN - Operating Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 5 years required License: North Carolina RN license Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred but not required Must-Have: - Experience in various surgical specialties - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. The facility is licensed for 457 beds and is a Level 3 Trauma Center. It is recognized as a Stroke Center of Excellence and a Bariatric Center of Excellence. The Operating Room consists of 19 suites, with 17 rooms being blocked for scheduled surgeries. The average number of cases handled per day is approximately 50. Patient types and common diagnoses include trauma, orthopedic trauma, total joints, spine, cardiovascular, vascular, gynecological, oncology, robotic, general surgery, bariatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmic, pain management, and plastics. Call is required, with an average of 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule, and a 45-minute response time is expected. Weekend rotation is every other weekend, and travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. The unit is supported by clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, and tech engineers. Unit-specific equipment is used, typical of an Operating Room setting.
