Research Associate / fellow in Aircraft Electric

University of Nottingham Italy (UNIT) is a research centre established by the University of Nottingham UK and located in Naples. UNIT is working in synergy with Italian and EU partners on new R&D projects offering world-leading expertise and experience developed by the University of Nottingham’s leading academics and researchers in the field of aerospace electrification. Our key research focus is net zero carbon aircraft, achieved through the development of innovative aircraft electrification technologies. Purpose of the Role Master Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Automation or Information Engineering or in a very closely related topic Good knowledge in electromechanical systems, including electric machines, power electronic converters and their control strategies Excellent knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink / Simscape software and related toolboxes General knowledge of aircraft electric power systems, their architectures and operation principles Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
