As a Staff Security Engineer, you will: Assess security gaps across various technologies and business contexts, enabling risk treatment and designing action plans as needed; Develop and implement policies and procedures related to information security and risk management; Support compliance with regulatory requirements related to security and privacy, providing visibility and technical guidance on compliance strategies and risk trade-offs; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications; Define guidelines and best practices on risk management and security matters to empower Nubankers; Work with multidisciplinary, global teams mainly in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia; Design and implement security controls; Maintain familiarity with various cybersecurity domains and concepts; Apply data-driven decision-making in security strategies. What are we looking for? Experience with large-scale distributed environments; Ability to analyze business processes and identify security risks; Proficiency in risk analysis techniques, including risk identification, assessment, and prioritization, using qualitative and quantitative methods; Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, ISO 31000, FAIR); Experience with regulatory frameworks in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia, including CNBV, Banxico, SFC regulations, and cybersecurity governance and incident reporting guidelines; Ability to interpret cross-country requirements and advise on compliance strategies in a fast-paced financial environment.
