Deputy Operations Manager Rio de Janeiro, Brazil GDIT/CSRA is seeking a self-motivated, independent working Deputy Operations Managers to provide Operations support at various data collection facilities throughout Brazil. Experience in managing a team of people (people management), labor, Information Technology, facilities, and subcontractors are a must. *Applicants must be fluent in English and Portuguese. Must be able to pass security background investigations, but do not have to be US citizens. Essential Job Functions The Deputy is responsible for assisting the OFC manager on the day-to-day operations of the Off-site Facilitation Center (CASV). He/She must ensure that the OFC operations comply with all requirements of the contract and satisfies all expectations of the supported US Post. The Deputy Operations Manager reports to the Operations Manager. The Deputy Operations Manager primary responsibility is to assist the Manager in supervising the entire OFC operations and assure the accurate and timely processing of biometric related data and documents. Main responsibilities: Assist the Operations Manager in the following activities: Ensure that the OFC operates effectively, providing quality service to all Visa applicants while maintaining compliance with the provisions of the contract, CSRA policies and procedures and governing laws of host country. Implement the visa application processes to insure all applications are processed accurately and in a timely fashion. Provide accurate reports according to predetermined schedules. These include, but not limited to: Monthly templates/reports for various Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Monthly status reports, and other ad-hoc reports as may be required by the client, the Post and/or CSRA. Recruit, train, and manage staff to support OFC operations. Address performance issues and develop/implement corrective actions. Manage all facility-related matters to include physical and personnel security. Manage labor, facility and expense budgets as provided by and under the direction of the CSRA Operations Manager, and budget estimates, as requested. Manage the Information Technology (IT) operations and ensure that all equipment are operated and maintained properly. The Deputy Operations Manager will represent the Operations Manager when he/she is on vacation and or leave. Day-to-day duties include, but not limited to: he/she attends meetings with the Post and CSRA Task Order Manager to discuss service levels. He/she manages the OFC budget, coordinates with and manages suppliers and/or subcontractors who are supplying services to the OFC, i.e. courier service, bank institutions, building maintenance crew, etc. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Supervisory & People Management (Team Management) / Facility Management / Vendor Management experience. Must be fluent in English (speak, read, write) and Portuguese. Must be able to pass security background investigations, but do not have to be US citizens.
