Industrial Engineer

A leading plastics manufacturing company in Germiston, Gauteng, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Engineer to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and efficiency. Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to reduce waste and costs. Design plant layouts and production workflows to maximize space and resource utilization. Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations. Monitor key performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for management. Assist with capacity planning and production scheduling. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for operational enhancements. Requirements Bachelors degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment (plastics industry experience advantageous). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in process mapping, workflow optimization, and lean manufacturing principles. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities across departments. Proficiency in relevant engineering and planning software/tools.
