Calibration Supervisor

Role Summary The Calibration Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the calibration department, ensuring equipment is calibrated according to process requirements, and maintaining optimal lab operations. This role supervises calibration engineers/technicians, manages documentation, coordinates with suppliers, and ensures compliance with quality and environmental systems. Reports to: Laboratory Manager Backup Position: Calibration Engineer / Quality Engineer (Lab) Location: Apodaca Language Requirement: English – 40% desirable Key Responsibilities • Ensure full execution of the system gauge calibration program • Supervise calibration activities and assign tasks to team members • Maintain equipment in optimal condition • Promote teamwork within and across departments • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and internal regulations • Keep work areas clean and organized (5S) • Support health contingency protocols inside and outside the organization • Prepare, review, and implement documentation for quality and environmental systems • Select and manage external calibration services and equipment purchases • Train staff to ensure safety and operational excellence Knowledge & Skills • Dimensional metrology: vernier, micrometer, indicator dial • Force metrology: pressure gauges, dynamometers, load cells, scales, testing machines • Electrical metrology: multimeters, clamp ammeters, resistance meters • Volume metrology: pipettes, test tubes, pygnometers • Uncertainty calculations • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel • Understanding of quality and environmental management systems • Awareness of environmental aspects, risks, and opportunities Qualifications • Education: Engineering degree • Experience: 1 year as Calibration or Quality Engineer (personnel management preferred but not required) • Competencies: • Negotiation and analytical problem-solving • Logical and numerical reasoning • Report preparation • Teamwork and program management • Resource planning • IMSS safety protocol training If you meet the requirements and are passionate about the automotive industry, we want to meet you!
