Job Description

Adecco Italia Spa, Permanent Recruitment Consulting division, recruits for F.I.S. Fabbrica Italiana Sintetici Spa, one of Europe's leading CDMOs, located in Italy with three production sites and approximately 2200 employees, including over 250 in R&D. The company is a global player experiencing strong growth in API development and production, as well as advanced intermediates for custom manufacturing and generics. We are seeking an Experienced Process Modeling Engineer. Requirements: A degree in chemical engineering is required, preferably with 3-5 years of experience in chemical process modeling; a PhD is preferred. Experience in at least one of the following simulation areas: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Discrete Element Method (DEM), or Population Balance Modeling (PBM). Strong programming skills (familiarity with VBA, Python is a plus). Experience with modeling software such as Dynochem, gProms, Aspen, Ansys Fluent, OpenFoam, MStar. Knowledge of spray drying process modeling is an advantage. Skills and Soft Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills – able to troubleshoot critical issues and identify causes and solutions. Teamwork and communication – ability to work well in project teams, communicate clearly, and adapt communication style; effective communication with management; technical writing skills. Organizational skills – good time management and prioritization abilities to handle multiple projects. Responsibilities: The engineer will work within the Calorimetry and Process Engineering team in R&D, collaborating with chemical engineers and chemists to assess process hazards and optimize processes. The team manages the development of spray drying processes, a strategic growth area. Key responsibilities include: Developing scale-down models for unit operations, focusing on spray drying, for R&D, scale-up, and transfer to manufacturing. Managing the transfer of chemical processes to manufacturing sites, especially spray drying processes. Applying chemical engineering fundamentals, kinetics, thermodynamics, and transport phenomena. Using mathematical models to understand, develop, optimize, and troubleshoot processes. Languages: English: Good comprehension Work Availability: Full Time J-18808-Ljbffr
