About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Food Safety & Quality Engineering Manager to join our Industrial & Supply Chain Food Safety & Quality Department in Alba, Italy . This role involves embedding into the Ferrero Engineering Leadership Team and driving impactful changes to enhance the Hygienic Design Culture within the Ferrero Group, supporting our strong commitment to Food Safety & Quality. The manager will oversee all engineering activities related to Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) for the Ferrero Group, ensuring FSQ requirements are integrated into engineering standards and guidelines. The role includes training and developing FSQ and engineering teams on FSQ standards and Hygienic Design Concepts. Main Responsibilities: The role involves defining governance for project lifecycle FSQ compliance, supporting project managers from design to hand-over, and ensuring new machinery complies with hygienic design standards. The manager will identify gaps in Hygienic Design, coach factory teams, formalize FSQ requirements for equipment and buildings, and maintain an internal standards database. Additionally, they will support risk assessments, validate machines, and collaborate with Health & Safety to align FSQ and H&S requirements. Raising awareness on FSQ and Hygienic Design through training, coaching, and external stakeholder engagement is also key. Who we are looking for: Ideal candidates will hold a Master’s Degree in Food Process Engineering, Food Safety & Quality, or a related field, with over 15 years of experience in the Food Industry, particularly in large international FMCG companies. Strong technical expertise, leadership, communication skills, and knowledge of quality management systems and food safety regulations are essential. Passion for sharing knowledge, coaching teams, and promoting Hygienic Design Culture are critical.
