Job Description
Position : Technical Support Specialist - Part Time Location : West Palm Beach, FL Job Id : IT 7.25.2025 Openings : 1 Position Description : The Technical Support Specialist ensures proper computer operations for end users to accomplish organizational tasks effectively and efficiently. This role involves receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve diagnostics, help request tracking tools, and hands-on desktop support. Responsibilities : Proactively monitor and support end user hardware and software needs promptly. Prioritize workload to resolve critical issues first. Install, upgrade, and configure hardware and software. Assist in testing new hardware and software before deployment. Configure, monitor, and maintain mobile security and virus protection software. Maintain hardware and software inventories. Install, configure, and troubleshoot content management systems. Manage web environments, including maintenance, security, testing, and content updates. Backup support for VOIP phone systems, cellphones, printers, and copiers. Develop and maintain user documentation for help desk support. Ensure equipment remains operational through repairs and following manufacturer instructions. Maintain confidentiality of organizational information. Enhance job knowledge through education, reading, and networking. Ensure compliance with regulations like HIPAA and licensing agreements. Participate in disaster preparedness and data security protocols. Requirements : High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s in Computer Science or IT preferred. At least 2 years’ experience in a tech support role, with knowledge of Microsoft products (Azure, Office 365, SharePoint), operating systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Skills : Proficient in microcomputer operations, networking, and application support. Excellent communication skills, including telephone interaction. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
