Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Posting Date: 11 Jul 2025 City: Genova Location: Genova, IT, 16129 Contract Type: Fixed-Term Division: Sustainability and Business Innovation Level of experience: Entry Level RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Environmental/OHS Consultant to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division. Mission The Junior Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Environmental Consultant will support advisory services focused on occupational health and safety and environmental compliance. The role involves assisting international clients in aligning with development banks' standards, especially in infrastructure and energy projects involving project financing. This position is suitable for recent graduates in scientific disciplines seeking growth in a dynamic, international consultancy environment. Key Accountabilities Support OHS Audits in Line with International Standards: Assist in preparing and executing health and safety audits according to IFC Performance Standard 4 and EBRD Performance Requirement 4. Review workplace safety practices and documentation. Support Environmental and Social Due Diligences: Contribute to data gathering, desk reviews, and risk identification. Support evaluation of project compliance with international lenders’ requirements. Assist in Project Documentation and Compliance Analysis: Help organize health, safety, and environmental documents. Contribute to gap analyses and compliance matrices. Client Support and Communication: Participate in client meetings, maintain records, and assist in drafting reports and presentations. Field Work and Site Assessments: Support inspections and assessments at construction or operational sites. Document observations and evaluate working conditions. Support to Senior Consultants and Project Teams: Work under guidance to contribute to multidisciplinary teams and learn ESG frameworks through practical application. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering. A Master’s Degree or relevant coursework is a plus. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety). Master’s Degree or relevant coursework in occupational health and safety or environmental management is advantageous. Familiarity with IFC and EBRD standards is a strong asset. Basic knowledge of ESG frameworks applied to project finance. Exposure to occupational health and safety concepts through internships, academic projects, or thesis work. Interest in environmental topics like due diligence, impact assessments, or compliance is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English; Italian is a plus. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
