As Lab Technician Strain Development you perform and contribute to the development of strain development cycles to develop different biotech products. Our client in Rijswijk is an global developer and supplier in food enzymes, cultures, taste and health ingredients and other specialties. As Lab Technician Strain Development you will work on enzyme projects, to establish and optimize enzyme production in our microbial host strains, fitting the requirements. You will conduct and plan experimental work with support of a lead Scientist and in collaboration with other lab technicians You will perform high throughput molecular cloning and quality control thereof in yeast, fungi and/or bacteria You will set up screening to assess the enzyme production Furthermore you will record, analyze and interpret the obtained results and discuss your experimental work in the project team For the position of a Lab Technician Strain Development we are looking for a HBO / Bachelor or Master candidate specialized in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and/or Microbiology PhD candidates are not considered for this position.
