Production Superintendent

Key Performance Areas: Supervise daily operations, manage shift teams, ensure safe work practices, good housekeeping (6S), and smooth shift handovers. Develop and enforce SOPs; ensure compliance with quality, statutory, and material consumption standards. Inspect incoming materials, monitor production parameters, optimise line utilisation, and oversee utilities (cooling towers, compressors, cooling water). Liaise with Maintenance and Quality Assurance to resolve issues promptly. Train and develop teams; manage performance and capture operational/HR data on SAP. Report operating parameters and consumptions; contribute to long-term planning for the Mill and Roll Shop. Education, Qualifications & Experience: Matric Certificate N3/NQF4 with intense production experience / National Diploma in Engineering or Operations Management. 510 years proven experience in the Steel Industry, with specific expertise in Cold Rolling and Roll Shop Management. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects and SAP
